2. The Challenge
During routine maintenance, the client discovered severe corrosion and surface damage on the sealing face of a DN300 pressure vessel flange. Pressure vessels operate under harsh conditions-high temperatures, high pressures, and corrosive media. Over time, flange sealing surfaces inevitably suffer from corrosion, pitting, and wear, creating significant safety hazards.

How It Works
The FDG610 portable flange facing machine is mounted directly onto the flange being repaired. Using its pneumatic drive unit, the machine rotates the cutting tool across the sealing surface, removing damaged material layer by layer until a flat, smooth surface is restored. The result is a precision-machined surface that meets OEM sealing specifications.
