LISHUI, China – July 31, 2026 – Zhejiang Wellnit Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has successfully deployed its Cut-off Diamond Wire Saw in a critical pipeline Inspection, Repair & Maintenance (IRM) project for ENQUEST TRENGGANU WATER in Malaysia. This marks a significant milestone in Wellnit's expansion into the Southeast Asian water infrastructure and offshore maintenance sector.

ENQUEST TRENGGANU WATER, a key player in Malaysia's water utility and pipeline infrastructure sector, selected Wellnit's diamond wire cutting solution for its pipeline IRM operations. The project involves underwater pipe cutting and maintenance work in challenging aquatic environments, where traditional cutting methods often face significant limitations due to space constraints, safety concerns, and operational complexity.

Diver-Friendly Design Enables Efficient Underwater Operation

The Cut-off Diamond Wire Saw deployed in this project is specifically engineered for subsea and underwater cutting applications. Its lightweight construction and simple installation process make it exceptionally diver-friendly - a critical advantage when operations must be carried out in confined underwater spaces. The saw can be operated by a single diver independently, significantly reducing crew requirements and simplifying on-site logistics.

The system is designed for flexibility: it can be powered via a surface winch for wire supply, enabling operation at depths of up to 550 feet (approximately 168 meters) . For deeper applications, an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) hydraulic drive version is available, extending the operational depth range substantially. This dual-mode capability makes the Cut-off Diamond Wire Saw adaptable to a wide spectrum of underwater maintenance scenarios, from shallow water utility pipelines to deep-sea offshore structures.

Compact Size and Rapid Deployment Overcome Space Constraints

One of the key challenges in pipeline IRM operations is working within restricted spaces - whether inside water treatment facilities, beneath jetties, or in congested subsea environments. The compact footprint of Wellnit's Cut-off Diamond Wire Saw allows it to operate effectively in these confined areas where larger cutting equipment cannot be deployed.

The saw's rapid deployment capability and flexible positioning further enhance operational efficiency. Unlike conventional cutting methods that require extensive setup time and heavy support equipment, the diamond wire saw can be positioned quickly and accurately at the cut location, minimizing downtime and accelerating project timelines.

Proven Performance Validated in Real-World Conditions

During the ENQUEST TRENGGANU WATER project, the Cut-off Diamond Wire Saw demonstrated outstanding performance across multiple dimensions:

Lightweight, diver-operated design – enabling single-person installation and operation underwater

Compact form factor – ideal for confined space operations

Rapid deployment and flexible positioning – reducing setup time and improving overall efficiency

Dual-mode operation – supporting both surface winch and ROV-powered configurations for various depth requirements

The client expressed strong satisfaction with the equipment's performance, reliability, and ease of use. This successful application serves as a powerful testament to Wellnit's reliable capabilities in the offshore and underwater cutting sector. As diamond wire cutting technology continues to gain recognition for its efficiency and safety in subsea applications, Wellnit is well-positioned to serve the growing demand for advanced underwater cutting solutions in pipeline IRM, offshore decommissioning, and marine infrastructure maintenance.
