Hands-On Learning in a Practical Environment
A senior engineer from Wellnit Machinery led the session, providing comprehensive guidance to three visiting client engineers through a "theory-demonstration-practice" model.
The core curriculum strictly followed the standard operating procedure:
Mount the machine onto the pipe and meticulously check if the pipe is centered.
Install and securely fix the bridge-type tool holder to the machine.
Precisely adjust the bevel angle according to specific processing requirements.
Install the cutting tool and beveling tool into the respective slots of the bridge-type tool holder.
Power on the machine and proceed with practical operation (The engineer specifically recommended applying cutting fluid/coolant appropriately to significantly extend tool life).
Key Debugging Steps Analysis
During the critical debugging phase, the engineer emphasized the following points to mitigate operational risks:
Tool Positioning: It is recommended that the cutting tool tip be about 2mm from the pipe, and the beveling tool tip be about 3-4mm from the pipe. Simultaneously, the tool tip extension beyond the tool holder's pressure plate should not be too long, preferably within 50mm, to prevent tool breakage or chipping during operation.
Center Calibration: The machine's center point must be accurately positioned; otherwise, it can easily lead to tool jamming or collision.
Clamping Stability: Ensure the machine is firmly clamped, as this is the foundation for safe and efficient operation.
Training Outcomes & Client Feedback
During the interactive session, trainees actively participated in hands-on practice and engaged in in-depth discussions with the engineer. Upon completion of the training, all participants were able to independently set up and operate the equipment. The client unanimously agreed that this pipe cold cutting and beveling machine is intuitive and straightforward to operate, greatly enhancing their work efficiency.
