Wellnit has successfully completed the factory inspection of one customized 4m flange facing machine for a customer in Poland. The machine was specially designed for flange sealing surface repair, including RTJ groove machining and internal boring of sealing surfaces. Before shipment, the customer inspected the machine at Wellnit's production facility to verify its configuration, machining accuracy, operating performance, and safety functions.

Customized for Flange Sealing Surface Repair

The Polish customer required a large-size flange machining solution for common on-site flange sealing surface repair applications. Based on the customer's technical requirements, Wellnit optimized the machine's working travel, tool holder structure, and machining accuracy.

The customized machine is designed to support RTJ groove machining and internal boring of flange sealing surfaces. The extended travel guide, quick-change tool holder, and portable packaging case were also checked against the agreed customization list during the factory inspection.

This customization allows the flange facing machine to better match the customer's actual working requirements while maintaining convenient operation and transportation.

Factory Inspection and Quality Verification

Before the inspection, Wellnit prepared flatness measurement equipment and dial indicators for the customer's acceptance inspection.

The inspection mainly covered the following items:

Machine appearance and overall configuration

Extended travel guide and customized tool holder

Quick-change tool holder structure

Portable packaging case

Machine running performance

Flatness and surface roughness inspection

Emergency stop function

Overload protection

The customer checked the machine appearance and confirmed that there were no visible dents or scratches. All fasteners were also checked to ensure that there was no looseness.

During the running test, the machine operated smoothly at different speed settings without abnormal noise or vibration. The emergency stop and overload protection functions were also tested and operated normally.

For machining accuracy, Wellnit used inspection instruments to verify the relevant flange machining performance according to the technical agreement. The inspection focused on key requirements such as sealing surface flatness and surface roughness.
