As one of the core components of the beveller machine, the production and manufacturing of the ISE-252 wedge block are directly related to the operational stability and service life of the equipment. To meet the internal production needs of the company's beveller machine and provide reliable after-sales maintenance support for global customers, we have carried out comprehensive process upgrades and precision manufacturing for this component.​

 

In the stage of material upgrade and performance design, we defined the core performance indicators of the wedge block-bevel hardness, surface finish, and dimensional stability, laying a strict quality benchmark for subsequent processing. As a key processing link, surface grinding follows the core three-step process: "rough grinding - establishing a reference surface, semi-finish grinding - ensuring parallelism, precision grinding - achieving angle and accuracy". Firstly, the accurate 2D drawing of the ISE-252 wedge block is imported into programming software. Then, the reference surface is closely fixed on the baffle of the sine table, and the sine cylinder is raised by a set of gauge blocks. The required height H is accurately calculated to obtain the target bevel angle. Next, the entire sine table and the workpiece are adsorbed on the grinding machine magnetic disk. A fine-grained grinding wheel and minimal cutting depth are used for precision grinding and finish grinding until the bevel size, angle, and finish meet the standards.​

 

The wire cutting process also demonstrates exquisite craftsmanship: pre-drill a wire hole at the starting point of the cutting path before processing. In the core processing stage, "multiple cutting" technology is adopted, CAD models are imported to generate precise cutting paths, and the discharge status, water pressure, and wear of conductive blocks are monitored in real-time during processing to ensure the processing accuracy of the bevel and complex contours. After cutting, oxalic acid or special cleaning fluid is used to remove surface electrolytic corrosion products and oil stains. Considering the high surface activity of the steel workpiece, anti-rust oil is immediately applied to ensure anti-rust effect.​

 

Finally, in the automatic press-fitting and lubrication link, a fixed amount of long-acting wear-resistant grease is applied to the mating surface of the wedge block, achieving dual guarantees of initial lubrication and long-term maintenance. Through this series of precision manufacturing processes, we have not only successfully reduced the production cost of key components and got rid of dependence on external suppliers, but also empowered the performance upgrade of the beveller machine with independently developed and produced core components, providing global customers with more stable and efficient groove cutting machinery solutions.
